Windows 10 updates have caused people a lot of problems, it has even got to the point that there is a lawsuit against Microsoft due to loss of user data.

If you have updated Windows 10 and it just won’t boot you may want to try this easy fix.

Unplug all USB devices! It sounds too simple to be a fix but it has worked for me. After you have unplugged USB devices Windows should boot straight away, it this is not the case try turning the computer off then on again. Make sure that the USB devices are left unplugged when you do this though.

After the updates have been applied you are free to plug back in your USB devices. You should be okay to leave them plugged in, even after a restart. You may need to unplug them after another update however.

Troubleshooting tip: If you have multiple USB devices plugged in try unplugging them one by one. Leave a minute between unplugging each one. If you unplug one device and Windows still doesn’t boot then it is not that device causing the issue. It could also be the case that Windows doesn’t like any USB devices being plugged in, this is something you will have to find out through troubleshooting.

I hope that you find this useful. If you are experiencing any other Windows 10 issues please leave a comment below this article and I will try to assist.
